Dr. Quintero, the allergy/asthma specialist went ahead and ordered the blood work and sweat test for Carter. Our appointment was this morning down at Texas Children's Hospital. They performed the sweat test first which took about 45minutes or so. They applied a solution onto both arms that would cause Carter to sweat on those areas. A gauze pad was placed over the sweaty area and sealed with a plastic wrap. This was left on for 30 minutes. When the plastic was removed, the gauze initially placed on the arms was soaked with the sweat from Carter. They then send this off to be tested for cystic fibrosis.

After that, they sent us to the lab to have his blood drawn. I was worried on how Carter would do. Surprisingly, he did a wonderful job. He didn't even cry and he sat still the whole time as she changed out the different tubes needed to collect the blood. I was very proud of my little guy.

Since we were so close to the Houston Rodeo (like 5-6 blocks), we took the boys to check things out. It was very cold and wet outside so we stayed inside as much as possible. Colton was bummed that he couldn't go to the carnival. He wanted to ride the roller coaster so bad. We had a good time and the crowd was just right.
